Time to let go now
Old patterns disrupt your flow
Put it down-let go
Dying does not end a relationship
Death eases a tired heart
I had known my step-father Bob since I was 12 years old
He loved my mother so completely.
Their journey was not an easy one, but it was a journey that was dripping with love, unconditional love even.
He eased my mothers lonely heart
She brought a stability back into his
They had some amazing rip roaring furniture throwing wall punching fights.
But still they endured
31 beautiful years
They even gave up smoking together…and survived!
Bob was a quiet, gentle, patient soul.
I wouldn’t say we were close, but he was the closest thing to a father I ever knew and for that I am grateful.
He brought a balance to my life
My Step Father Bob
Sage training everyone peacefully
Friendly and tolerant he evenly reassured
Beloved our Bob
a relief from suffering
this life of greed and misfortune
When you are not self-sufficient
you are not empowered
and wretched struggling
from lack is overpowering
It drives a wedge between us
creates a separation
where death brings relief
Because in this space of suffering
love finds no light to grow
The focus becomes to take
not to receive
It must shift to giving
not to depleting
We must unify
To withhold only creates more lack
To share creates loving abundance and growth
There is a strength in the collective
We achieve more when we unite
And we learn that to hurt the one
effects the many
WE ARE ONE
When we realise this
and live from that wisdom
becomes a much more attractive option.
There was a man lying on the ground
No-one asked why, no-one was around
His feelings were bruised and battered
The woman he loved had not cared and just scattered
Yes scattered his feelings as though they were grain
To feed to chooks out there in the rain
And it was in the rain
That he lay on the ground
Now quiet, no whimpering, not making a sound
No-one to save him
No-one to care
But even then he was compelled to look in the air
And there was a glorious sight to behold
An angel with wings fluttering gold
To take him skyward towards dreams he remembered
Of home and of God and all things splendid
Free, he was free this man on the ground
His spirit finally homeward bound
