He would put them on each day, riding his horse. He was in the Mounted Police, a well loved and respected man, a wonderful horseman, a beautiful soul. He always said spurs should never be worn until you earned them, otherwise you would become mean, and a mean person is never a horseperson.

His son moved to New Zealand after his Dad passed away, He brought his Dad’s spurs with him, they were packed with loving care in a box until he found his new home here.

Then he met me, and the spurs now sit on his office shelf, I often pick them up and feel a swirl of loving energy surrounding them
